Experience: I have been in teaching for over six years and Head of Physics for two. I am highly skilled at group learning as well as one to one teaching. My goal is to make even the most challenging concepts digestible. My head of Physics duties included curriculum development. For this I designed, implemented, and evaluated the KS3, GCSE and A Level Physics course for the entire school, including assessment materials. I also managed data analysis of the A level Physics course to drive improvements and support students. I am both results oriented, empathetic, and adaptable, which allows me to support students in all aspects of their learning.  

Education/Qualifications:  BSc (Hons) Applied Physics (2:1) 

 PGCE; Secondary Education and Teaching with a specialty in science. 

Subjects Offered: KS3 Science, GCSE and A level Physics, and 11+. 

Teaching style: I deploy a range of methods and strategies while I teach. Some include modelling, real-world connections, inquiry based learning, and active learning that involves problem solving tasks, discussions, and knowledge retention tasks. 

Additional services provided: Confidence building, exam stress management, skill development, careers advice, interview preparation, application support, learning plan creation. 

Experience: I am currently applying my 5 years of Physics, Maths, and Technical expertise to support students at a university level. I take pride in my dynamic, personable, and in-depth approach to teaching and learning. I am currently working at St Mary's University, doing in-session support of practical activity for students undertaking Computer Science and both undergraduate and masters level. I have also worked to support the following university courses: Applied Physics, Physiotherapy, Sport rehab, PGCE Science, Strength & Conditioning, Bio-mechanics, and Nutrition.

Subjects Offered: Physics and Maths up to A level. 

Teaching style: My teaching is a bridge between A level and University style teaching.
